It's that time of year again...

Time to go shopping for a new swimsuit that is!
Is that scary to you? Sorry! :)

I am actually excited...I have been looking at LOTS of different sites trying to find just the right modest but cute suit for this summer.

What is your favorite swimsuit style? One Piecer or Tankini style like me, or are you more of a bikini gal?
Or are you one of those who prefers no suit at all?
Take a second and vote over at the poll on the right-I am truly curious! :)

One of my favorite swim wear sites Lime Ricki offered to give me and my readers a fab discount on any of their adorable suits!

Now I just need to pick one...

I love the colors and the cute yellow geometric ties-on this cutie here. It is definitely in the running. This rash guard is super cute, and would be great to wear to the beach this summer when it is just not quite warm enough to be strutting around sleeveless (we live in Oregon after all), or just need a little extra protection from Mr Sunshine...if he ever gets here that is...
But I think this is my favorite suit I've seen yet this year on my quest for the perfect suit! Love the feminine ruffles and you know that color combo is my absolute fave! Plus it would cover the booty and the girls without looking matronly. Winner!
I think I am in love!
What is your favorite swimsuit from Lime Ricki?
If you find just the right one while over there shopping...be sure to add in the code CUTER and get 10% off your purchase! (EDIT:only good through May 14th-so be sure to get yours now!)

Friendly Friday-Southern Fairy Designs

Happy Friday! Ready to meet a new friend? Today we have Steph from Southern Fairy Designs, and she has a CUTE idea to share with us-I'll let her get right to it!

So a small dilemma happened when I last wanted a black bag for night out.. my little black clutch bag looked sad, worn and well, hideous to be honest... in the end I changed my whole outift as I didn't want to be seen with such an awful looking bag. The other day I had a brainwave and thought I could make it over as it's only the outer fabric that's shabby.

And after a little bit of thinking and throwing fabrics out of the drawer this is what I came up with....
If you want have a go at this too then you'll need:
  • a clutch bag
  • complementing colour fabric
  • fabric flower
  • 22 x 6mm beads
  • glue gun
  • scissors1. First I cut the lacy fabric off (this was the bit that was amking my bag look awful so it had to go). The fabric underneath is great and is the same as the fabric I used for the leaves to cover it.
    2. Take your fabric and cut it into little pieces, one for every leaf. Make a small pile of fabric, draw a leaf on the top piece and cut it out, repeat till you have enough to cover the bag. (I needed 36 to cover my bag)
    3. Start by glue gunning the first leaf at the bottom of the metal frame.
    4. Continuing glue gunning the leaves along the bottom of the bag.
    5. Continue by sticking leaves in layers that just about cover the top of the leaves on the layer beneath.
    7. Glue the top layer as close to the metal frame as possible. Don't worry if there's a little glue overspill as the beads will cover this.
    8. Start glueing the beads along the lower edge of the metal frame, removing excess glue before it dries.
    9. Continue glueing beads on till there's enough along the frame to mirror the starting point on the opposite end. 10. Add the fabric flower as an embellishment and then the bag is finished!
Looks 100 times better than it did when I started and now I'm more than happy to take it out with me :) If the fabric flower isn't your taste then skip the last step as it still looks good without it, or perhaps add a different embellishment to suit the outfit you want it to go with.
Steph x

Making Us Cuter...Rethinking

I just want to say that I appreciate all of you linking up your cute outfits and creative reStylings here...they really inspire me to rethink my wardrobe and my shopping...

Take this adorable chicky here from Rue Cerisier (translated; Cherry Tree Lane)...her name is Cassi, she's adorable, speaks French and got both this adorable skirt and seersucker blazer for a whopping $3.32 TOTAL! I must go shopping with her!
And then Camille from All Things Lovely...seriously!?!? Her H&M f& Forever 21 finds make me want to weep with joy that there are such lovely things for such good prices! She knows just how to put them together too...I will be stealing all of her looks next time I go shopping!
And so many more cute inspirations come from you!

Now I wore this last Thursday...and I am wondering if it should stay in my closet...the skirt that is. Does it need a refashion? I was just so excited it fit (I haven't been a size 8 in a couple years!) that I wasn't all that caring about how it looked. Is it too...I don't know?
Also I am rethinking my hair.
I'm thinking it ages me a bit?
I REALLY love the simplicity of it, but I'm not sure it's especially flattering on me.
I had the lady cut off all of my bangs last time...I'm wondering if that was a mistake...
I'm starting to lose all of this baby weight, so I'm feeling better about that
Which is probably why I'm starting to pick on other features...
Women!
Can we ever just be happy with ourselves? :)

Now link up your cute outfits and inspire us all to be cuter! Be sure to link back with a button or text link so that everyone can be inspired! :)
