Backyard Campout & Campfire. A two part story.

Part 1: Backyard Campout
On the 3rd we decided to do a backyard campout. Zach and Ryeleigh each had a friend stay over. Bekah went out into the girl tent with Ryeleigh and her friend Payton and Zachary and his friend Parker were in a separate tent.

We made Topher this tent in the house so he wouldn't feel left out.
It thundered and there was lightening.
Long story short-we had 3 girls back in the house within an hour and the boys stayed out all night.
Moral of the story?
If you want the kids to stay outside in the tents.
Check the weather, before you plan a backyard campout.
The end.
Part 2: Campfire
Beforehand we had dinner with our friends.
We made tinfoil dinners in the oven.
We used cheap foil.
Don't use cheap foil when making tinfoil dinners.
They will drip grease from the hamburger into the bottom of your oven.
Messy. Messy. Messy.
Afterwards, when you turn your broiler on to make s'mores there is an even bigger problem.
The oven gets super hot.
It ignites the grease.
You open the oven to place your s'mores.
Oxygen hits the greasy flame.
You've got yourself a full blown fire in your oven.
One box of Arm & Hammer later....
You have a very dirty oven and kitchen.
You will have to stay outside with the kids for longer than you wanted, to make sure that the air in your home is non-toxic.
Moral of the story?
Don't be cheap, get good foil.
The end.
